The class was busy delving into many special events this week. We had great fun learning more about Lauryn during her
Special Person Day. She talked about the
All About Me poster that she completed, introduced her mom to the class, and told us about two trophies that mean a great deal to her. In turn, the boys and girls wrote a book telling Lauryn how special she is to our class. And the snack she brought yummy too! We are beginning to learn about Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King Jr. and the contributions that they made to help our country think differently about one another, thus becoming a more caring nation. We have been reading book and learning chant and songs that will enhance our study. We had an awesome tour of Noodles and Co

mpany and we are now developing ideas on how to create our own noodle business. If you happen go dining there, your child will be delighted to share with you informative tid-bits that were gleaned while on our visit. A big thanks to Anthony and Jackson's moms for accompanying us. The class went to their first ice s

kating lesson and, and they were excited and proud of their efforts as they glided on the ice. Our next lesson is Tuesday, January 18th so remember to help your child bring all of the skating gear including snow pants to rink by 8:10. If you can stay to lace skates that would be greatly appreciated. Please join us this Friday, at 1:30 for skate lacing and twirling around the rink from 1:45 time until 2:45. It will be great fun and you'll enjoy a snack too! Please continue to help you child review counting by 1s to 75/100, 2s t0 20, backwards from 20 to 0., 5s to 50, and 10 to 100. We are exploring these skills in a variety of ways. The children wrote delightful cards to Drew as we shared his birthday this week. Birthdays and losing teeth are extremely important events in the lives of SK children. Please plan to bring the entire family to the
Preprimary Lower School Show and Share Night. A preordered sandwich dinner (featuring Potbelly sandwiches) will be served in the dining room from 5:00-6:00. Forms and further information are available on the Portal in the LS Friday Folder. Sandwich forms are due Monday, the 24th . Our class will preview
Book Fair selections in the Parents Association Room on Monday, February 7 at 1:00. It would helpful to purchase books on Tuesday, February 8th since many of yo

u may be coming to school for
Put A Face on First Grade program between 12:30 and
2:00. Please enjoy the picture albums including the snow pictures and the pictures with Dr. and Mrs. Schuler in the band room. The children had a special opportunity to go to the
Band Room and review some of the instruments in the Music Family! Hip, Hip, Hooray for USM and GO PACKERS! See you soon!
