The children began creating a story board depicting The Life Cycle of a Butterfly. Soon it will be displayed on a class bulletin board for your enjoyment. Oh yes, the caterpillars that remain with us are huge and by Monday they may have transformed themselves into chrysalises. Let's keep our fingers crossed. The children were delighted that you were able to see our latest butterfly at Back to School Night, and they were very impressed that you participated in Morning Message. I hope that hearing the "ins and outs" of SK was informative and meaningful. We released Flapper, ( our first male butterfly) Friday morning- the perfect end to a wonderful week! FYI, be prepared to be actively engaged when sharing this week's pre- decodable books with your child. The class has brainstormed many interesting strategies to share with you. Thank you for a special evening. Hip, Hip Hooray for our year in SK!

How do can you tell a female from a male butterfly? What a great thing to learn! xo Mrs. Gullickson
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs. Camp's SK class,
ReplyDeleteI love the caterpillar name puzzles! That looks like fun. We found a very cool "bug" this weekend that Lilian wants to bring to show all of you on Monday. Your trip to see the butterflies at the museum will be awesome. Are you sure there is not an extra space in your SK class for me???? Please please :) XO Mrs. Jochmann
Hi Mrs. Camp's Class,
ReplyDeleteI loved hearing your butterfly songs. Liza has been singing up a storm. Are you going to perform them for all the parents? It looks like you will be butterfly experts. Have fun at the museum this week. I bet that you will love the butterfly exhibit.
xo Mrs. Damon
Thanks Mrs. Camp for all your hard work preparing for the Back to School Night!! It was wonderful to learn all about SK and what fabulous things are in store for the year! Niven Kingwill
ReplyDeleteI heard the field trip was just wonderful.. Aerene came home excited that she touched a stick bug! I had to look it up in the internet. She is learning so much about insects and she is absolutely fascinated by them. Thanks Mrs. Camp!
