Just a short blog to say that we are looking forward to your visit Monday June 6th for the LS Picnic. The class will be wearing their
SK Adve
nture T- Shirts for all of you to enjoy! Please bring a blanket to sit on and remember a beverage too. The children have comple

ted their "ug" word family books and may finish the "un", and "ut" soon! The class joyed their third grade buddies for a walk to
Karen's Garden, located by the bus barn, and planted sunflower seedling and pumpkin seeds. When you see pumpkins decor

ating the lower school in fall you will know that your child helped plant them. Plan a visit to the garden in late June or July to see how things are growing. The children enjoyed celebrating Drew's Special Person with his mom. He brought really cool monster trucks to share so you won't be surprised to hear he

wants to be a race driver when he grows up. Of course basketball is his second professional career choice. We also celebrated Lauryn's birthday! I think we did a great deal of celebrating this week. Two Army Majors surprised us with a visit and talked about their military

experiences. Do you know who they are? I was totally surprised and amazed to find myself on stage being celebrated at our Assembly. SK children stared in the event with a great song accompanied by lovely monarch butterflies. The crown and flower bouquet were lovely and the video awesome. I just want to know how everyone, especially my class, kept the surprise so quiet! Friday,
Fun in the Sun was great! The water play was outstanding. The children used a number of strategies when filling buckets with water from the bubbler. The suggestions, comments, and lending hands were wonderful to see and hear! . Must close and get back to my reports. Have a great weekend! See you on Monday!
